Focus your learning on the preservation and management of the environment. You’ll explore a variety of areas like water and wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, air pollution control, pollutant transport, and the fundamentals of sustainable engineering analysis and design. You’ll also discover ways to apply engineering solutions to address economic, environmental, and societal problems.
You may incur additional costs in the course of your education at the University over and above tuition fees in an academic year such as laptops, study materials and additional resources.
Collaborate with faculty on research projects at on- and off-campus institutes and labs, including the Center for Environmental Systems Engineering.
Participate in paid summer internships or co-ops to gain valuable work experience and still be able to graduate in four years.
The Environmental Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET
The International Year One is the perfect pathway if you want a undergraduate degree from a UK, EU or US University but do not meet the requirements for direct entry.
The IY1 course provides an intensive combination of first year University subject modules with English language skills.
Following successful completion of the IY1 you will continue onto your second year degree study directly with the University of your choice.

Progressing students into Syracuse University receive the following merit awards for each
subsequent year of enrollment based on the cumulative GPA earned upon the completion of the 30 credit hours:
• A GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 is $10,000 per year
• A GPA between 3.5 and 3.74 is $15,000 per year
• A GPA greater than 3.75 is $20,000 per year
