Economics is one of the key factors to understanding some of the critical questions facing our world. This course will explore these questions while also examining some of the principles and theories that can help us to answer them.

Your studies of this economics degree will also be supported by modules that provide students with an understanding of how to deal with and organise data in a comprehensive way, including modules in Financial Decision Making, New Directions in Economics, Econometrics, Financial Markets and Institutions and Behavioural Economics.

Through this course you’ll develop transferable skills that are valued by professionals and industry experts, including well-evidenced empirical analysis and the ability to communicate economic ideas in reports and public audits.

Following successful completion of the IFC,  you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

The IY1 course provides an intensive combination of first year University subject modules with English language skills.
