Our Human Resource Management (HRM) degree course will give you an excellent basis for a career in HR in a range of organisations. As a human resources specialist, you will learn how businesses can get the most out of their employees and develop the skills for successful people management.
You will learn about key concepts such as managing people, operations, marketing and finance; and learn what businesses need to do to operate effectively and ethically in a culturally diverse environment.

This degree includes an option for a semester-long work placement during year two, to give you first-hand experience to develop your career and apply what you’ve learned.

This course will prepare you for working in a variety of HR roles, such as recruitment and selection specialist, employee relations or personnel manager, training and development adviser, diversity and equal opportunity advisor or performance management specialist.
Our careers team is available to support you from the start of your studies until after you graduate. They will help you build your CV, prepare for interviews, and meet and learn from successful graduates working at the top of their careers. You’ll also have opportunities to work with our partners across London and beyond, and to attend a Roehampton jobs fair where you can find out about graduate opportunities and meet employers.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), therefore as a graduate, you will be eligible to gain CIPD Associate Membership, subject to successfully meeting the accreditation requirements.
The International Year One is the perfect pathway if you want a undergraduate degree from a UK, EU or US University but do not meet the requirements for direct entry.
The IY1 course provides an intensive combination of first year University subject modules with English language skills.
Following successful completion of the IY1 you will continue onto your second year degree study directly with the University of your choice.
