B.A. Italian Language, Literature, and Culture
Degree Duration
4 Years :
1 year pathway + 3 year degree
Start Dates
August | January | May
The major in Italian language, literature, and culture, which leads to a B.A. degree, provides students with a mastery of the language and a broad knowledge of Italian literature and culture. Lower-division courses teach the skills needed to read, write, and speak Italian. After the second year, students are trained to develop an oral and written command of the language. Literature and film studies cover areas of studies from Dante and the Renaissance to modern and contemporary periods.
You may incur additional costs in the course of your education at the University over and above tuition fees in an academic year such as laptops, study materials and additional resources.
Enjoy small class sizes: Introductory language courses are capped at 20 students to enhance learning and interaction between students and professors.
Contribute to and benefit from frequent and diverse cultural activities, such as film screenings and language and culture tables where students can practice their speaking and comprehension skills.
Develop a global perspective by studying in Italy, taking courses in literature, fine arts, history, political science and other topics on location, in addition to language courses.
