Our British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited degree enables you to confront the issues that humans face with psychology’s scientific principles. From brain injury to prejudice reduction, child development to offending behaviour and rehabilitation. We provide you with the tools to develop interventions for hospitals, schools and businesses, making a difference to society through innovations in policy and research.

You study the core areas required for accreditation: statistics, biological and general psychology, social and developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, child development and personality. You can also take specialist modules in business, clinical and forensic psychology as well as mental health, justice and morality and neuroscience.

You’ll be inspired by our exciting modules, providing you with fresh perspectives from world-leading experts in cognition and neuroscience, business, developmental, forensic, organisational, political and social psychology.

Your Pathways

The IFY will prepare you for the first year of your undergraduate degree. It’s made up of several core and subject-specific modules that will give you a greater understanding of your chosen subject area. The skills you develop through this programme will help you in your chosen degree, in your future career, and in all aspects of life.

The International Year Zero is the first year of the four year undergraduate course. IYZ is designed to help you gain extra skills in your subject area, as well as English Language, before you continue to year one of your chosen University undergraduate degree course.

Following successful completion of the IYZ, you will continue onto Year One of your degree directly with the University of your choice.

Scholarships

We can offer you up to £4,500 off tuition of your pathway programme.

Please note you’ll have to apply for a pathway scholarship and only a selection of students will be awarded.  For more information on the scholarships we offer to international students please contact us.

2024/25: All international students will receive 16% of University of Kent tuition fees per year, for students moving into a degree from all our pathway routes. These are available for students from all countries and are automatic on application. For more information please contact admissions or your in-country representative.
