About the pathway

Gain the skills that matter most to employers. University of Roehampton’s International Foundation Programme is designed to close the gap between your existing qualifications and those required to study an undergraduate degree, whilst developing your English language skills to a level where you can flourish in the UK university system.

The tailored, inclusive international curriculum is taught through a series of modules via lectures, seminars, workshops by our passionate and committed academic staff. You’ll gain the confidence and academic experience you need to prepare you for studying your undergraduate degree.

You’ll get to know education terminology, concepts, ideas and gain the transferable and lifelong learning skills, to support you in continuing your professional development and educational achievement.

General modules you will study include:

  • English for Academic Practice 1
  • English for Academic Practice 2
  • In-Sessional Integrated English Skills
  • Information Technology and Numerical Concepts
  • Academic Inquiry and Exploration

Course specific modules include:

  • Education Essentials: Learning and Development
  • Education Essentials: Institutions, Policy and Practice
